mini sLab | gRPC to the rescue with Candas
- This event has passed.
20 June-17:00 -20:00
SOAP and REST/CRUD are the predominant protocols/architectures for designing APIs for many years now. Nowadays, we start to hear more and more about gRPC.
What is it really? Just another RPC? Is gRPC gonna take over the crown?
Let’s learn and try gRPC together and see where it shines the most.
We will kick off with presenting some basics about gRPC and discuss how it differs from SOAP and REST. This is followed by a simple demo.
For the hands-on the participants will implement a Spring boot project which provide gRPC endpoints and we will consume it with another spring project. In the last part of the sLab, we will discuss questions/concerns and your thoughts about gRPC.
